MANUKAU CITY COUNCIL MEETING NEXT THURSDAY.

20 MINUTE PRESENTATION ON WHY WE WANT WAIKATO WATER TURNED OFF, AND NO
MORE USER-CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICES.

WHEN: Thursday August 29
TIME: 5.00pm
WHERE: Manukau City Council

After being denied speaking rights at the last MCC meeting on the issue of
Waikato water and user charges, speaking rights were taken anyway - the
Council meeting was adjourned, and 20 minutes speaking time has now been
arranged for the next MCC meeting on Thursday 29 August 2002.

This promises to be a hard-hitting presentation, where up to 500 pledges
will be presented to the MCC from Manukau residents who are stating that
they refuse to pay for Waikato water and for user charges for water.
