 'War-Speak and the Media: managing illusions' is a one-day public 
                  forum
 being hosted by Massey University's Centre for Justice and Peace
 Development and the Peace Foundation, on Thursday the 22nd November 
                  at
 Massey's Albany campus.
 
 
 It features journalists working in Tv, radio, print, and the 
                  internet
 discussing their roles. Speakers include John Campbell (TV3 
                  & Radio NZ),
 Cameron Bennett (TVNZ), Finlay McDonald (Editor, The Listener), 
                  Malcom
 Evans (NZ Herald cartoonist), and Joe Glen (TVNZ, Te Karere), 
                  and more
 .... The programme is geared for maximum public participation, 
                  so come
 prepared to talk as well as listen.
 
 
 The forum will run from 10.00am-3.00pm in the Study Centre Staff 
                  Lounge.
 Cost is $25 (waged), $15 (unwaged), or koha.
 
 
 Interest in the event is high, spaces are limited, so early 
                  registration

 ~ SUN, 25 November - International Day of Solidarity with Palestine 
                  and
 the Palestinian People symposium, with a wide range of speakers,
 screening of video documentaries, the day's event will conclude 
                  with a
 performance of Dabkah (traditional Palestinian dance). A Palestinian 
                  meal
 will be served at approximately 8-15pm when the Muslim participants 
                  are
 joined with to end the day-long fast (Ramadhan). From 1pm to 
                  9pm, at the
 University Marae, Wynard Street, The University of Auckland.

 but koha would be gratefully accepted to assist with costs.
