Re-Connection Tour ~ 2003    Through the kindness of Ven. Geshe Sangey Thinley (Geshe-la),
~ New Zealand was blessed with an event that saw 15 Chenrezig
Sand Mandalas constructed throughout our beautiful land,
over an extra-ordinary year-long period.    Through this huge and significant project,  over
230 000 people came in touch with the Chenrezig Mandala, ~ the
Cosmic seed of Compassion ~ the message of World Peace and Compassion
~ and the rich culture of Tibet. The 'Mandala Tour' resulted
in deep connections with many community groups; organisations
and people from all walks of life during the course of the tour....
It is Ven. Geshe Sangey Thinley's heartfelt request and wish
~ that these special connections are maintained and nourished.
To fulfil THIS wish ~ Jam Tse Dhargyey Ling and friends,
are organising the 'Mandala Re-Connection Tour'... .... so that
Geshe-la is able to re-visit each Mandala site, to re-connect
with each place ~ and to meet once again with all the people
who were involved with each Mandala event ... and maintain the
moments... The 'Mandala Re-Connection Tour' will involve:    *   An Incense Puja (Ceremony) at each Mandala site
(where the blessed sand was gifted) - led by Ven. Geshe Sangey
Thinley and Ven. Karma Gyaltsen.     *  A Public Talk with Q & A's by Ven. Geshe Sangey
Thinley, translated by Tsering Samdup    * Buddhist teachings in some places (by request.)     * Informal Gathering of volunteers and friends who either
were involved or attended - for a meal or cup of tea! When will the Mandala Re-Connection Tour will take place:
The aim is that Ven. Geshe-la and his assistants will have visited
all the sites of the Mandala by the middle of January 2004.
They will mainly travel during the school holidays - starting
in September, and again at the end of November, ending in Jan.
Please check at the end of the message for details on the first
part of the tour, beginning in Whakatane on the 14th September.
