Greens Host Auckland Transport Forum

The Green Party has signalled a renewed focus on Auckland's Transport
issues, with the announcement of a Green Forum on Auckland's Transport
crisis, and the employment of an Auckland Transport Campaigner.

The Green Party agrees with Aucklanders who recently voted transport as
the number one issue facing the city. Next Monday (20th September) it is
hosting a forum on options and solutions to the city's congestion and
transport crisis.

Speakers include:

..        Green Transport Spokesperson, Jeanette Fitzsimons

..        North Shore City Councillor, Joel Cayford

..        Christine Caughey (candidate for the newly formed "Action Hobson"
party).

Time: 7pm Monday 20th September.
Place: Green Party Auckland office, 308 Great North Road.

Auckland Green MP Keith Locke says: "A forum offers an opportunity for
dialogue, rather than being just a top-down presentation by experts, so we
hope people will come along and take part."
