Spam The Man

by Russell Spam is a curse and virtually unstoppable, except by having the greatest of all modern assets, anonymity. Here's one solution for spam email - I have 2 email accounts.

One is private for friends etc and the other is for submissions, browsing, and all the other uses to which we are open to spam mail attack. I have a separate folder in Outlook Express, and all the "junk" mail pours into that folder, using a simple rule. If it's addressed to the second email account, it automatically goes to that folder.

Hundreds a day. Then I select all and delete all, without bothering to read them. And my genuine email is automatically in a separate folder, clean of rubbish. The genuine email address should be difficult to guess, not a name and include numbers. You might like to look at www.spamrecycle.com...
