On December 6, 2000, ANZFA released a draft amendment to Food Standard A18 on genetically engineered foods. The draft proposes guidelines for GE labelling and the food industry will try to water them down even further. The large number of exemptions from labelling mean FEW GE FOODS WILL BE LABELLED after the standard comes into force on December 6 2001. Your comments are invited BY 26 FEBRUARY 2001.
